Geboren: op 9 september 1935 in Uhersko bij Pardubice in het oosten van de Tsjechische Republiek.

 

Studies

1950-1954 
Technische leergangen voor toegepaste kunst, met specialisatie in steenbewerking in Hořice v podkrkonoší.

1954-1958 
Stages als beeldhouwer in het atelier van O. Velinsky in Praag. Steenkapper bij de restauratie van het Sint Agnesklooster en de Emmaüskerk in Praag.
1958-1964 
Akademie voor Toegepaste Kunst in Praag.( Professoren J.Lauda, K.Pokorny en K.Hladik)

 

Werk

Čestmír Mudruňka werkt sedert het behalen van zijn einddiploma als restaurateur en beeldhouwer. Zijn atelier ligt in het Letná district in Praag. Hij werkt met diverse materialen, maar vooral met brons en steen.

Restauratiewerk

Werkt voortdurend aan restauraties, vooral van steen. Was bezig in de O.L.Vrouwkerk in Litoměřice en in Broumov, renovaties aan het bisschoppelijk paleis in Litoměřice en aan een parochiekerk in Doksany.

 

 

Čestmír Mudruňka, academic sculptor

Date of Birth: September 9, 1935 in Uhersko near Pardubice (East of Czech republic).

Studies:                       

1950 – 1954    Industrial school of fine arts specializing in stone in Hořice v Podkrkonoší.

1954 – 1958   Worked as sculptor after completing studies at the school of fine arts - stonecutter in the atelier of O.Velínský in Prague. Stonecutter in the St. Agnes' Convent in Prague and in the church in Emauzy in Prague.

1958 – 1964    Academy of beaux-arts Prague (Professors J. Lauda, K. Pokorný a K. Hladík).

 

Present:            Have been working as a sculptor since graduating in 1964. Work conducted in an atelier in the Letná quarter in Prague. The pieces of work are made from various materials, but are primarily from stone and bronze.

Renovation:

Continuously worked on renovations of statues especially from stone. For example, St. Mary's in Broumov and in Litoměřice, renovations include bishop's residence in Litoměřice and of parish church complex in Doksany.

Studia:

1950 – 1954    Střední průmyslová škola kamenická a sochařská v Hořicích v podkrkonoší, ukončena maturitou.

1954 - 1958    Po ukončení střední školy působil jako kamenosochař v dílně O. Velínského v Praze, potom pracoval jako kameník na klášteře sv. Anežky české na Františku a na kostele v Emauzích.

1958 – 1964    Akademie výtvarných umění v Praze, u prof. J. Laudy, K. Pokorného a K. Hladíka.

po 1964           Po ukončení studia pracuje v ateliéru na Letné, hlavně v kameni a bronzu.
