The symposium is the first part of activities at the occasion of Jan Engelen's retirement ("emeritaat").

After the symposium, starting at 4PM, there will be a short celebration and a reception. In between, we will celebrate the 25th birthday of "InfovisieMagaZIEN", the only European publication devoted exclusively to technical developments for persons with a visual impairment.

Both major activities will have contributions in Dutch or in English, depending on the speaker.
